Basically the advantage of Radarr over doing it yourself is that one search will: Search all torrent and usenet accounts you have set up, prioritise which release to grab based on configurable profiles, download, unpack (with unpackarr integration), move, rename, and then continue to monitor in case a better version of the file becomes ...
It also allows me to access Sonarr/Radarr to forward requests to my seedbox. Finally, Ombi (available on the Google Play Store and Itunes Store) is a self-hosted web application that automatically gives your shared Plex or Emby users the ability to request content by themselves.
I also go over all the things I've learned over the 10+ years that Ive been tinkering that I wish I knew when I first starting out. (trash-guides.info, VPNs and Socks5, docker compose settings, mounting secondary devices, linux commands, webhosting, etc) Just uploaded the tutorial on Sonarr, Radarr and Prowlarr now. I also offer help if needed.
Just read a post by fellow redditor about Syncarr, which is a companion tool that can be used to sync up multiple instances of Radarr or Sonarr. It made me think of all such similar software which exist but people might not know of. I'm listing a few of them which I know. Maybe others can contribute to the list.
Sonarr and Radarr alone will automate everything you are currently doing manually (searching, sending to a download client, and then unpacking and moving to the final location and updating Plex). I’ve had sonarr and radarr running for years and never even thought about looking for one that does music 😳 but now I’ve found out about lidarr I’m wondering if there’s any other *arr programs that I could be using? Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast.
Radarr is a powerful tool that makes it easy to automate the process of finding, downloading, and managing your movie collection. Note that you should choose a Usenet provider first. Anyway, here is a guide on how to use Radarr: Install Radarr: Radarr can be installed on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
I've been working on a program called Watchlistarr that makes syncing Plex Watchlists with Sonarr/Radarr a breeze. Instead of using a Plex Token, it leverages Plex Watchlist RSS feeds, offering some advantages.
Given multiple files of the same quality, I want radarr to download the one with the smaller file size regardless of how many seeders there are. For example, preferring x265 over x264. Is there a way to do this?
