The U.S. dairy industry is undergoing a historic geographic transformation. For the first time, just 10 states now account for 74% of all U.S. milk production, with the top 14 states controlling a staggering 84% of the nation’s dairy output.

A new map from AAA shows just how much gas prices vary across the country, with some states offering a considerably cheaper fill-up than others. As of Sept. 15, the national average for regular gasoline was $4.33 per gallon. For travelers planning a fall road trip, several states stand out as more affordable places to fill the tank.
